【摘要】:1.1Thisconsumersafetyspecificationcoverstheperformancerequirementsandtestmethodstoensurethesafetyofchests.1.2Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisintendedtominimizetheincidentsandinjuriestochildrenresultingfromnormaluseandreasonablyforeseeablemisuseorabuseofthesechests.1.3Thisconsumersafetyspecificationappliestoproductsknownasclotheschestsorothersingle-compartmentclosedrigidboxes(sometimesreferredtoasx201C;cedarchestsx201D;)thataredesignedandmarketedasstoragecontainersforclothes,blankets,orlinens.Theproductssubjecttotherequirementsarethosewithasinglevolumeof1.1ft3(0.031m3)ormore.1.4Nochestproducedaftertheapprovaldateofthisconsumersafetyspecificationshall,eitherbylabelorothermeans,indicatecompliancewiththisspecificationunlessitconformstoallrequirementscontainedherein.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.6Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section5,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
