【摘要】:ThisTechnicalSpecificationprovidesinformationtoenableauserorEIMintegratortomakeaninformeddecisiononselectingcompressionmethodsfordigitalimagesofbusinessdocuments.Itisdesignedtoprovidetechnicalguidancetoanalyzethetypeofdocumentsandwhichcompressionmethodsaremostsuitableforparticulardocumentsinordertooptimizetheirstorageanduse.Fortheuser,thisTechnicalSpecificationprovidesinformationonimagecompressionmethodsincorporatedinhardwareorsoftwareinordertohelpthisuserduringtheselectionofequipmentinwhichthemethodsareembedded.Fortheequipmentorsoftwaredesigner,itprovidesplanninginformation.ThisTechnicalSpecificationisapplicableonlytostillimagesinbit-mapmode.Itonlytakesintoaccountcompressionalgorithmsbasedonwell-testedmathematicalwork.
